Four Gables, a unique Arts & Crafts house built in 1900, is Grade 2 Listed.
Character and period features include oak and terracotta floors, fireplaces, stone
mullion windows and elegant moulded ceilings, open arcade to main staircase… but
there is also a tranquil, serene ambience that is harder to quantify – maybe it’s
the way the light shines into the breakfast hall, or maybe it just reflects how
hard David and Anne Watts work to get all the details right.

From the art work on the walls to the heated mirrors in the bathrooms, from the
crisp white Egyptian cotton linen to the well-stocked tea tray, guests will find
that their needs and wants have been anticipated. An attractive and spacious
lounge is available for guests’ use.
Wi-Fi, is provided for guests’ convenience free of charge. A laptop is available for guests traveling without a computer. All rooms have an ipod docking base.
Four Gables is 100% smoke-free.
The house is in a peaceful setting down a private lane, yet only 5 minutes’ walk from the bustling Georgian village of Boston Spa with its restaurants, shops and riverside walks. The beautiful gardens, extending over half an acre, include a well-tended croquet lawn which guests are free to play on, two ponds, a Japanese garden, a sunken garden, etc etc. and are stocked with an interesting collection of plants and trees. The Garden won a Silver award in 2009 - Yorkshire in Bloom. In 2010 we are going for Gold !

Four Gables is 3 miles from Wetherby in West Yorkshire, halfway between London and Edinburgh. It is an ideal place to stay for visits to York, Leeds, Wetherby Races, Harrogate, the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors
